 Description |
These summits would help students in planning for their future and help them understand what transition means to and for them.
Our plan is to take adult services/agency information to students during the school day while they are already in a learning environment. We would do this by visiting one high school each month. During that day each agency would present information about their organization and how they can help the students after high school in a 30-40 minute segment. Presently, we are planning on starting this at the Ottawa High School on October 20, 2011. Then after hearing from agencies as to interest, we will offer it to other High Schools. For this first year, we may skip a month or two until we get things together. |
